03 · Timing
Bare-root, June to August
Deciduous fruit and ornamentals lift while dormant. Tubestock and potted lines go out all year.
How it arrives
Packed to travel upright.
Potted stock travels upright in a purpose-built carton with the rootball wrapped. Bare-root trees are lifted the week they ship, roots packed in damp shavings.
Either way, get it in the ground within a week of arrival. If you can't plant straight away, heel it in somewhere shaded and keep the roots damp.
We pick and pack within two working days. If anything in an order needs a word first, we ring you rather than guess.
