Terms of sale

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout.

Ten or more of any one size of any one plant drops that line to trade price automatically. You do not need an account for that.

Trade quotes are held for 12 months from the date we issue them.

Freight within Tasmania is a flat $100 per order, whatever the order weighs, and is free on orders over $250. Pick up at the gate is always free.

Tubestock and bare-root can be sent to the mainland by arrangement and subject to quarantine requirements. We do not send potted plants interstate: the freight costs more than the plant and they arrive in poor condition.

We pick and pack within two working days. Transit is usually two to five working days.

Bare-root stock is only lifted while it is dormant, from June to August. Once buds move we stop lifting, and any outstanding bare-root order is held until the following season or refunded, whichever you prefer.

Tubestock and potted lines are dispatched all year.

Stock counts on this site are live at the time of ordering. If a line sells out between your order and our packing bench, we will ring you and offer a substitute, a hold, or a refund.

If a plant does not take within twelve months of delivery, and it was planted the way we suggested, we will replace it on the next run. Send us a photo and the order number.

The guarantee does not cover plants left unplanted in their pot, plants put somewhere clearly unsuited to them, livestock or mower damage, or drought where the plant was not watered.

Tell us before an order is packed and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once an order has left the nursery it cannot be cancelled, because a plant that has been in transit and back is no longer stock we can sell.

Live plants are not returnable for change of mind. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law: if something arrives damaged, dead, or is not what you ordered, you are entitled to a replacement or a refund.

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery if an order arrives damaged, with a photo of the plants as they came out of the carton.

Contract growing starts at 500 tubes per line and is confirmed in writing before we sow. Most natives need twelve to eighteen months lead time.

Held stock is stored at no cost for up to six months from the agreed ready date. Beyond six months we will talk to you about either taking delivery or a holding fee.
