Privacy policy

Wild Made is a plant nursery at 285 Nook Road, Sheffield TAS 7306. This policy explains what personal information we collect through wildmade.au, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

When you send us a message or ask for the trade list, we collect the name, email address, business name and message you type into the form.

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and the contents of your order.

When you join the seasonal list, we collect your email address and nothing else.

We do not ask for, receive or store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by our payment provider.

To answer your question, quote a job, or pick, pack and deliver an order. To let you know if something in your order needs a word first. To send the seasonal list, if you asked for it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it. Every seasonal list email carries a one-click unsubscribe.

Form submissions are delivered by Formspree, which stores them so we can read and reply to them. Orders and payments are processed by Snipcart and its payment partners, who hold your order and billing details in order to take payment and support the transaction. Our website is hosted in Australia.

The enquiry and trade forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a machine, is filling them in. Cloudflare receives your IP address and some technical information about your browser in order to make that check. It is not used to track you across websites and it does not set an advertising cookie.

These providers may store data outside Australia. We only use providers that commit to protecting personal information to a standard comparable with the Australian Privacy Principles.

The shopping cart uses browser storage to remember what you have added, so your order survives a page refresh. That is required for the cart to work at all.

Card details are never stored, by us or in your browser. They go straight from the payment form to our payment provider.

Filters you choose on the plants page are kept in the page address, not in a cookie, so a filtered view can be shared or bookmarked.

Enquiries are kept while they are useful for answering you and for our own records, and are then deleted. Order records are kept for seven years, which is what Australian tax law requires. Seasonal list subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@wildmade.au or ring (03) 6491 2280 and we will come back to you within a reasonable time.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
