What it's like
Brigitta ripens in February and March, after the early varieties are finished, which stretches your picking season by a month. The berries are large, pale-bloomed and firm enough to actually last a week in the fridge. Blueberries want acid soil — if yours isn't, a half-wine-barrel of azalea mix works perfectly and makes netting easy.
Getting it established
pH 4.5–5.5. Mulch with pine bark, never lime, and keep the water up while fruiting.
Potted stock travels upright in a purpose-built carton with the rootball wrapped. Bare-root trees are lifted the week they ship, roots packed in damp shavings. Either way, get it in the ground within a week of arrival.
You've got twelve months. If it was planted the way we suggested and it hasn't come away, send us a photo and we'll replace it on the next run.
Ten or more of one line gets trade pricing without an account. Tell us the site and we'll check the spacing with you before you order.
