What it's like
Heuchera earns its place on foliage alone — deep bronze-purple, maple-shaped, and held in a tidy mound that never spreads where it shouldn't. Fine wiry stems of cream flowers appear in summer and the bees find them immediately. Excellent along the front of a shaded border or in a pot by a back door.
Getting it established
Lift and divide every third or fourth year to stop it going woody in the middle.
Potted stock travels upright in a purpose-built carton with the rootball wrapped. Bare-root trees are lifted the week they ship, roots packed in damp shavings. Either way, get it in the ground within a week of arrival.
You've got twelve months. If it was planted the way we suggested and it hasn't come away, send us a photo and we'll replace it on the next run.
Ten or more of one line gets trade pricing without an account. Tell us the site and we'll check the spacing with you before you order.
