What it's like

Nothing changes a shaded courtyard faster than a man fern. Ours are salvage-tagged from approved clearing operations, which means they come with paperwork and no wild population is worse off. Keep the trunk damp — that's where the roots are — and it will hold a two-metre canopy of fronds over a small garden indefinitely.

Getting it established

Water into the crown, not the ground. A trunk that dries out does not come back.

Potted stock travels upright in a purpose-built carton with the rootball wrapped. Bare-root trees are lifted the week they ship, roots packed in damp shavings. Either way, get it in the ground within a week of arrival.

You've got twelve months. If it was planted the way we suggested and it hasn't come away, send us a photo and we'll replace it on the next run.

Ten or more of one line gets trade pricing without an account. Tell us the site and we'll check the spacing with you before you order.
