What it's like
Annabelle is the reliable one. Unlike the blue-and-pink hydrangeas, it flowers on new wood, so a hard prune each winter guarantees a full display and a late frost can never take it out. The heads open lime, turn pure white, and dry to a soft biscuit that looks good right through autumn. Leave them on over winter.
Getting it established
Cut the whole plant to 30 cm every winter. It flowers better and stands up straighter.
Potted stock travels upright in a purpose-built carton with the rootball wrapped. Bare-root trees are lifted the week they ship, roots packed in damp shavings. Either way, get it in the ground within a week of arrival.
You've got twelve months. If it was planted the way we suggested and it hasn't come away, send us a photo and we'll replace it on the next run.
Ten or more of one line gets trade pricing without an account. Tell us the site and we'll check the spacing with you before you order.
