What it's like
If you want a crisp, dark, architectural hedge, this is the plant. It's slower than the cheap options, which is the point — it stays tight, holds a clean face, and doesn't need cutting four times a year. The new growth comes through with red stems against near-black foliage. Takes shade, wind and frost.
Getting it established
Plant at 60–80 cm spacing. Clip once in late spring and once in late summer.
Potted stock travels upright in a purpose-built carton with the rootball wrapped. Bare-root trees are lifted the week they ship, roots packed in damp shavings. Either way, get it in the ground within a week of arrival.
You've got twelve months. If it was planted the way we suggested and it hasn't come away, send us a photo and we'll replace it on the next run.
Ten or more of one line gets trade pricing without an account. Tell us the site and we'll check the spacing with you before you order.
